Can I get a refund for accompanied child tickets?
Yes. We can refund accompanied child tickets, as long as they are Anytime, Off-Peak or Super Off-Peak train tickets, and meet all the normal travel criteria.
To get your refund, you can do this within your Railsmartr account if you have one. If you don’t have an account, just send us an email with your booking reference.
If you’re looking to get a refund on these tickets, you should know that train operators require one adult to accompany every four children using this type of ticket. So if you’re asking for adult tickets to be refunded at the same time, please check you have enough adults to meet the minimum group size. More information is available from National Rail.
